15 Acres of Elbow Room

Ellen Ragsdale would like to share with you her new farm country bed and breakfast located in Cortez, Colorado. The Jolly Rancher sits on a hill top of 15 acres of farm land only 3 miles north of downtown Cortez.

The farm house is spacious and open with an indoor feeling of "outdoors" - plenty of elbow room with warmth and coziness. The NON-smoking guestrooms wake you up with sunshine and a gorgeous Southwest Colorado view.

You will love our new cabins. They are totally self-contained and are perfect for large groups. Each cabin can sleep up to 8 people.

Guests may enjoy the reading/TV area adjacent to the private rooms. Outdoors Hot Tub with full views of the La Plata Mountains, Mesa Verde and Ute Mountain.

Accommodations

All prices quoted are DOUBLE occupancy, US funds. Deposit is required for reservation. VISA and Mastercard accepted. Gift Certificates available - please email for details.

South Room	Large room with open bath and claw tub; Queen bed - $99.00 per night.
East Room	Nice room with private bath - large shower; Queen bed and Single bed - $89.00 per night, an additional $15.00 per person. [South and East Rooms work well together for a family if needed.]
Western Room	Large Western Room with private bath, TV and VCR; King bed and Hide-a-Bed; - $99.00 per night, an additional $15.00 per person. [extra nice room for family.]
Grand Room	Nice downstairs room (great for grandmas and grandpas); Full bed - $79.00 per night. [Single occupancy is $65.00 per night.]
Guest House & Cabins-4 (With Lofts)	Guest House has a kitchen, bath, living room, upstairs large bedroom; King bed, Single bed, Trundle bed which makes into 2 Singles. Can sleep 2 downstairs. Cabins each have a kitchen, bath, living room, downstairs bedroom, large carpeted loft. Can sleep up to 8 people. Nice for more private and longer stays. By the Night, Weekly or Monthly: $155.00 per night for four people. It's an additional $20.00 per person for adults and an additional $15 per person for children. * Breakfast not included. [small pets ok in carrier cages.]
*Reservation/Cancellation Policy*
For 2 nights or less, payment is required in full at time of reservation. For 3 or more nights, a deposit of half the total amount is due when reservation is made. The remainder plus sales & lodging tax is due 3 weeks prior to stay. We will re-schedule your stay if you cannot make your scheduled time. Guests are responsible for payment of accommodations regardless of actual arrival or departure dates.

Traveling with pets or horses? Now you have a choice in lodging - The Jolly Rancher has a bed for your horses, and can help arrange lodging for your cats or dogs.

Horse Lodging	A new Pro-Panel Pole Barn with exercise, wash rack, and panel turnouts. We feed or you feed. Will supply information for bringing horses into Colorado. Must have a negative Coggins test and Health Certificate from a vet, 3-way vaccination: E & W tetanus, flu rhino and distemper. With Hay $15 per night. Without Hay $12.00 per night
Dog or Cat Lodging	Cortez offers two nice kennels for pets (we'll make arrangements for you.) KNT Animal Boarding phone: 970-564-8020 Dogs: $8.00 for small, $9.00 for medium, $10.00 for large. Cats: $6.00 per day. Must have yearly vaccination of rabbies and distemper.

Upon arriving at The Jolly Rancher you may opt for a nice relaxing time on the front porch with coffee, tea (hot or cold), or sodas. Gaze upon the La Plata Mountains and the Mesa Verde mesa and take in the sunsets which are second to none. Barbecue your own meal or make your way to downtown Cortez which offers many different restaurants offering a variety of food.
While exploring our town you'll find City Park with its swimming pools, tennis courts, walking paths and picnic areas. Sunday afternoons the park hosts a 2 hour music concert featuring our talented local musicians. The Cortez Cultural Center has free Native American Dances in full costume every evening as well as local cultural and art exhibits.
